Scott pointed me to a discussion taking place back in Nov. / Dec 95 regarding EPT 436B.
I am happy to report that it did not dissapear, or get totally lost or destroyed, it is safely in my garage in Saint Charles (40 miles west of Chicago), USA, undergoing an extensive rebuild.
As best as I can remember, the car left England around 85/86, and started at a Car dealer in New York. It then spent some time as a road car I think in New York area, and in the early 90s was sold to Bob Atrell, a Toyota dealer in Toronto Canada, who built it (very crudely) into a race car for Classic Racing in Canada / US events.
In Bob's hands (he was a well accomplished club racer) it developed a reputation as being almost unbeatable in Classic Racing, winning the Canadian Vintage Championship several times.
I purchased it from Bob around 2001, tried it out on the race track. It was blindingly fast, but we quickly realized it needed a lot of help !
Decided I wanted it to return to being a street car, so started restoring it in 2003, but it's been a stop start episode. Finally got into it good and propper about 2 years ago again, and it is now 2/3 restored, and close to going into the paint shop.
I'll dig out the exact details on the previous owners and dates in the next few days and post them.
I'd really be interested in knowing it's history before leaving England, and if available any documentation, photos etc.
Please come back to me if you have any information.
